Part 1: The Message of the Cross (1 Corinthians 1:18–25)
In this first session of The Wisdom of the Cross, we walk through 1 Corinthians 1:18–25 and explore why Paul says the message of the cross is foolishness to some, but the power of God to those who are being saved.
We look at how the cross becomes the great dividing line of humanity, why it confronts human pride, and how God reveals His wisdom through what the world calls weakness.
This live Bible study was taught at Pleasant View Community Church and includes real interaction and discussion from those in attendance.

Part 2: God's Power in What the World Calls Foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:26–31)
In Part 2 of this Bible study through 1 Corinthians 1:26–31, we see that God not only saves through what the world calls foolishness—the cross—but also calls and uses the kind of people the world often overlooks.
Paul reminds the Corinthians that not many were wise, powerful, or of noble birth, yet God chose the foolish, weak, and lowly to shame the strong and wise, so that no one may boast in His presence.
In this study, we look at what it means that Christ has become for us wisdom from God—our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption—and why the only proper response is to boast in the Lord. True wisdom is humble dependence, and true boasting is worship.
