Week 1 — Why We Must Be Ready (1 Peter 3:13–17)
Week 1 of Why We Believe explores 1 Peter 3:13–17, where Peter calls believers to be ready to give a reason for the hope within them. This study focuses on the lordship of Christ in the heart, responding faithfully under pressure, and explaining the Christian hope with gentleness and respect.
Week 2 — Why We Trust the Bible (2 Timothy 3:14–17)
Week 2 of Why We Believe explores 2 Timothy 3:14–17, where Paul points Timothy back to the Scriptures as the foundation for faith and life. This study focuses on the continuity of biblical truth, the role of Scripture in salvation, the divine origin of God's Word, its sufficiency for every good work, and its power to shape and transform the believer.
Week 3 — Why We Believe in God (Romans 1:18–25)
Week 3 of Why We Believe explores Romans 1:18–25, where Paul explains that God has made Himself known to all people through creation. This study focuses on the clarity of God's revelation in the world around us, humanity's response of suppressing the truth, the reality of being without excuse, and how worship is never removed—only redirected. It also highlights that belief in God is not a blind leap, but a response to what God has already revealed.
Week 4 — Why the Resurrection Matters (1 Corinthians 15:12–20)
In this study, we explore why the resurrection of Jesus is not just an important belief—but the foundation of the Christian faith. Walking through 1 Corinthians 15, we see how Paul uses powerful logic to show that if Christ is not raised, everything falls apart—but because He is risen, everything changes. This lesson strengthens our confidence in the gospel and calls us to live in light of a living Savior.
Week 5 — Why Jesus Is the Only Way (John 14:1–11)
In Week 5 of our Why We Believe series, we turn to one of the most important—and often challenging—claims Jesus ever made: “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
In a world that encourages many paths and personal truth, Jesus speaks with clarity—not in confrontation, but in comfort to troubled hearts.
In this study, we walk through John 14:1–11 and see that Jesus does not merely point to a way—He presents Himself as the way. We explore what it means that access to the Father comes not through a system, but through a Person.
We also consider why this claim is exclusive in truth, yet inclusive in invitation—and how the identity of Jesus as the Son of God shapes everything we believe about salvation.
Whether you're wrestling with questions about truth or seeking deeper confidence in your faith, this study points us back to the One who doesn't just give directions—but gives Himself.
Week 6 — Why Salvation Is by Grace (Ephesians 2:1–10)
In this study, we walk through one of the clearest passages in Scripture on salvation. Paul shows us that apart from Christ, we were not just struggling—we were spiritually dead. But then come two of the most hope-filled words in the Bible: “But God…”
We'll explore what it means to be saved by grace through faith, why salvation cannot be earned, and how God not only forgives—but transforms.
This lesson highlights the beauty of grace, removes all boasting, and points us to the reality that our salvation begins with God and results in a new life lived for His purposes.
Week 7 — Sharing the Hope Within Us (Colossians 4:2–6)
Week 7 concludes our series by bringing everything together and answering a practical question: How do we actually share Christ with others?
Using Colossians 4:2–6, we explore four key elements of faithful evangelism: prayer before conversation, wisdom in conduct, gracious speech, and the simplicity of the gospel.
Along the way, we revisit the truths we have studied throughout this series—from the trustworthiness of Scripture and the existence of God to the death and resurrection of Christ, salvation by grace, and the call to respond in faith.
Sharing Christ does not require a perfect presentation or all the answers. It requires a willing heart, a clear message, and trust in God. As Paul reminds us, God opens doors, God works in hearts, and God uses ordinary people to proclaim the extraordinary good news of Jesus Christ.
