Blessed Be The Name of The Lord

Some of us have lost all of our work and income over the C19 shutdown. Ouch! Here’s where I am today.
“...Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord hath given, and the Lord hath taken it: blessed be the Name of the Lord.“ Job 1:21 (1599 Geneva Bible)
I believe if we do our best to resign and accept the divine will of our Lord, the process of burning the waste away and refining us as gold, will lead us to blessing His Holy Name. We worship the Giver and not the earthly gifts that were never ours to begin with, which we surely can’t take with us into eternity. The gifts aren’t ours, the Giver is ours!
That’s where, when and how we shine brightest and He is glorified.
“Some of the rarest pearls have been found in the deepest waters, and some of the choicest utterances of believers have come when God’s waves and billows have been made to roll over them.”
Charles Spurgeon

Shove Your Religion Down My Throat

Wow!!! Because someone wrote on a Facebook post, that Jesus didn’t exist...I had to reply that He did...this person asked for evidence and proof... I first cited the self-attesting Gospels, but secondarily also offered evidence outside the Bible such as Tacitus and Josephus’s writings.
I was factual and not insulting... my words were intentionally measured and careful. When this person responded in disagreement, I googled this person’s first sentence, and found that it was an internet article written against these historical writers, and found it was a flimsy hit-piece to keep readers secure in their unbelief.
When I pointed out that this person’s sentences were lifted directly from the article, I was accused of rude and hateful conversation and trying to, as charged “shove your religion down my throat”. (What an exhausted talking point)!
This person’s slanderous response is because I exposed what he/she had done (busted)! But ultimately all of this is because... Jesus is thee most powerful name in all of history... For those who love or hate Him. He was crucified. I must remember Jesus said, “A servant is not greater than His Master.”

For His Enemy

For His Enemy (written, performed and produced by George Dunn © 2010 )

Socialism Part 1 - audio.js

(in-line scripture references)
I am a prisoner of war to the law of sin
working in my members                                                                    Romans 7:23
I can’t remember the first time I told a lie                                          Leviticus 19:11
too young to remember
Have I no hope?

It seems I haven’t loved God with all my heart                                  Luke 10:27
instead I’ve chased after the wind                                                     Ecclesiastes 1:14
We’ve all done wrong with hearts evil
from our youth                                                                               Romans 3:23 /
                                                                                                          Genesis 8:21
we didn’t have to learn to sin
Have we no hope?

In a fallen world where evil reigns
there is death and pain                                                                     Romans 5:14
so what has God done?
He sent us His Son                                                                           John 3:16
so...

Chorus - We proclaim the praises of the One who has called us
out of darkness into light                                                                   1 Peter 2:9
Commanding by day unfailing love
and His song with us at night                                                            Psalm 42:8
He came to fulfill the will of the Father                                              John 4:34 /
                                                                                                          John 5:36
to seek and save the lost                                                                  Luke 19:10
and He satisfied the cost, when He hung on that cross                    John 19:30
and died For His Enemy
that was you and me                                                                         Romans 5:10

He came unto His own and they did not receive Him
rejected Messiah                                                                               John 1:11
But He was the lamb that was promised Abraham                           Genesis 22:8
on the Mt. in Moriah                                                                          Genesis 22:2

He is our hope
Risen from the grave oh death
   where’s your sting?                                                                      1 Corinthians 15:4 /
                                                                                                        1 Corinthians 15:55
and so we sing, the praises of our King!                                          Psalm 47:6
He adopted us as sons                                                                    Ephesians 1:5
so...

Chorus

Bridge - Betrayed with a kiss and unfairly tried                               Mark 14:44 /
                                                                                                         Matthew 26:3-4
drinking the cup while He was being denied                                    Matthew 26:39 /
                                                                                                          Mark 14:72
beaten and scorned, crucified and crowned with thorns                  Matthew 27:26-50
then He died and was laid in a tomb                                                Luke 23:50-55
and on the third day He rose again!                                                 Mark 16:1-6

Chorus end-  We proclaim the praises of the One who has called us
out of darkness into light
Commanding by day unfailing love
and His song with us at night
He came to fulfill the will of the Father
to seek and save the lost
and He satisfied the cost... when He carried His cross
and He satisfied the cost... when He bled on that cross
how great the cost... that He hung on that cross
and died For His Enemy
that was you and me
